Microsoft hopes to have superior search engine technology compared to Google within the next six months
Microsoft wants badly to beat Google at its own game – Internet search. In six months, Microsoft hopes to have search engine technology in place that will make it superior to Google.
"What we"re saying is that in six months" time we"ll be more relevant in the U.S. market place than Google. The quality of our search and the relevance of our search from a solution perspective to the consumer will be more relevant," said Neil Holloway, Microsoft"s president for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Microsoft plans to integrate the super charged search engine into its Windows Messenger chat program and Hotmail. The company, however, has no plans to make the search an integral part of the Windows Vista – Microsoft has already gotten into trouble multiple times over bundling in the past decade.
